【Great Collaboration】 Chap. 6, Sec. (9)

(9) Clash with the old regime

In fact, as Japan embarks on a nationwide effort to build the Great Collaboration society, it will likely face a head-on confrontation with the old regime of the 20th century ― that is, with those who run the fiscal system and the market economy system. And the new investment bank is expected to become a fierce battlefield in this confrontation. If large amounts of money are siphoned off from the old regime into a nation-building based on values that are completely different [from those of the old regime], that will be enough to spell the end of the old regime.

The Great Collaboration society will be free from battles. However, in the initial stage when we break away from the old regime, a battle will take place ― just like a colony’s independence movement. An enormous amount of energy, a careful preparation, and a proper operation will be required, just like when we launch a rocket into outer space against the force of gravity.

In fact, there is a proper way to fight this battle. While the old regime will use force and falsehood to challenge us, we must firmly uphold the values of health and sustainability in fighting the battle. The ancient regime will assault and try to defeat us by all possible means, without any rules. To win the battle against such an enemy, we must be determined to uphold our values. While this may seem impossible, it is not. In battles, the losing side would often break the rules and fight with no holds barred, while the winning side would fight in an orderly manner from the outset.

If we, the Japanese people, are to enjoy the peace and stability that result from the battle; and if we all are to participate in the new nation-building as fellow citizens ― friend and foe alike ― once the battle is over; and if we all are to live together harmoniously, then we should never neglect our values, no matter how bad the situation during the battle might be. More specifically, the approach we should take is as follows: we should thoroughly disclose information; protract the battle as much as possible so that many people can recognize the significance of the battle and the need for a new era; and consolidate their silent support.

Fortunately, the essence of the financial system of the old regime is already evident through the works of Mr. Hideaki Sonoyama of Fujiwara Office, Inc. (www.fujiwaraoffice.co.jp/sonoyama/index.html (*7)). For the past fifteen years, Mr. Sonoyama has conducted cutting-edge research on the essence of both the fiscal system and the market economy system. Hence, all we need in addition are people with the talent to run the new investment bank ― highly competent people, who can lay the groundwork for the nation-building of a new Japan by firmly upholding our values. I am sure such people will emerge from present-day Japan.
